Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist Position Available
Employment or Contracting position – 2 to 4 days per week
Mind Body Well are a boutique allied health clinic who have been located for the past 13 years in the St Kilda Road precinct of Melbourne, and soon moving to a larger office space in Albert Road, South Melbourne. We are an established team of Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists and Dietitians, providing therapy for people with a variety of concerns such as mood and anxiety issues, eating disorders, chronic pain, and general health concerns.

Our staffing model provides the opportunity for either:
Salaried employment – providing income security and multiple inclusions such as access to regular supervision (individual and group), and a range of professional development opportunities (including a library of pre-recorded webinars, quarterly in-house professional development, and access to a professional development allowance). Our salaried therapists see a maximum of five clients per day, with ample opportunity to complete clinical administrative tasks
Sub-contracting – for people who prefer more flexibility in their work hours. Intake and administrative support will be available for sub-contractors
Both employees and sub-contractors will receive support from Janet Lowndes (Founding Director and Psychologist with more than 30 years experience), Senior Psychologists / Clinical Psychologists Dr Fran Beilharz and Julia Shanahan, and Senior Dietitian Tom Scully, along with a very supportive and established group of allied health practitioners.

Our salaried therapists see a maximum of five clients per day, with ample opportunity to complete clinical administrative tasks.

We’re looking for someone who:
- wants to be part of a highly skilled, supportive and collaborative interdisciplinary team
- is familiar and aligned with social justice perspectives which respect diversity and value inclusion (for both colleagues and clients)
- has significant interest, training or experience in providing therapy for people experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating (from a non-diet, weight inclusive perspective)
- is available for three or four days per week for a salaried role (with some availability to see clients outside business hours), and at least two days per week sub-contracting
- is eligible for a Medicare provider number (ESSENTIAL)
