Phoebe is a Registered Psychologist who is passionate about supporting people in their recovery from mental health and emotional concerns, with a particular interest in the intersection between eating disorders and trauma, and how early relational experiences shape our relationships with food, our bodies, and ourselves.

Phoebe Beveridge

Phoebe works with people with a range of mental health concerns, most commonly including:

  • Eating Disorders
  • Body image concerns
  • Complex trauma and the impacts of difficult early experiences
  • Relationship patterns and interpersonal difficulties
  • Anxiety and depression

Phoebe draws on Schema Therapy as her primary therapeutic approach, which is particularly effective for understanding the deeper emotional patterns that often underlie Eating Disorders, exploring how past experiences can influence current challenges. She also utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approaches to support her clients to develop more flexible and authentic ways of responding to themselves and to others.

Phoebe works from a strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective, creating a warm and collaborative therapeutic environment. She is aligned with Health at Every Size (HAES®) principles and practices from a non-diet approach, prioritising wellbeing and self-compassion in her work.
