Dr Mel Delanoy has been a Registered Clinical Psychologist for more than 20 years. She is passionate about about helping her clients establish healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships with others. Mel takes great pride in the fact that people trust her to help them heal.
Mel treats a variety of psychological issues and has extensive training and experience in the treatment of Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. Originally from California, she was a staff member at UCLA Medical Centre for more than 10 years where she worked with children, adolescents, adults and families. Mel has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings as well as being involved in research focused on issues such as the prevention of disordered eating among university students, and genetic predispositions to the development of eating disorders.
While Mel is passionate about helping her clients, she also understands the importance of supporting family members and carers in establishing healthy environments. She is aware that no single approach works for everyone and is able to use a variety of treatment approaches based on her clients’ individual needs. Ultimately, Mel wants to help her clients live their lives based on the values that are genuinely meaningful to them.
