Fran is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about providing care that combines evidence-based treatments and respecting the lived experiences of clients.

Fran is an experienced eating disorder clinician and most commonly works with the following presentations:

• Eating disorders and disordered eating

• Body dysmorphic disorder

• Body image concerns

• Mood and anxiety management

• General wellbeing

Clinically, Fran has trained in a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT and CBT-E), Temperament Based Therapy with Supports (TBT-S), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She also draws on self-compassion, mindfulness and interpersonal techniques in a collaborative and client-centred approach. Fran also has experience working in higher levels of eating disorder care.

Fran is aligned with weight inclusive care and practises using the non-diet approach. She is committed to continuously learning and integrating social justice work into her clinical practice, and working with people from marginalised communities. Fran aims to empower individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours with curiosity, to develop a healthy relationship with their body, food and identity, and shift towards living a meaningful life.

Fran also has a strong research background, with her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology thesis exploring Body Dysmorphic Disorder and perceptual distortions of body image.
