Join Janet Lowndes - Psychologist and Yoga Therapist, for this exploration of Yoga practices to assist in managing your mood.
The morning session will focus on Yogic strategies to calm an agitated mood - useful for times when you are experiencing stress, agitation or anxiety. In the afternoon we will explore how Yoga can assist in managing low mood states including sadness, emotional lethargy and depression.
This workshop will combine theory and practice, with handouts and links to recorded online practices provided to assist you in integrating the strategies into your own home practice.
No prior experience in Yoga is necessary.
Participation in the workshop will require the ability to get up and down from the floor with ease, and the ability to sit on the floor (with supports if required).
If you are experiencing clinical depression or an anxiety disorder this workshop is suitable if you are currently well managed. If however your mood is very low and/or you are experiencing significant anxiety, please contact us to discuss the suitability of this workshop, and to assess whether individual therapy may be more appropriate.
Cost: $165 (incl GST). Includes 6 hours of teaching, morning and afternoon refreshments, handouts and access to online resources. (Lunch not provided)

Afternoon session - 1:30pm-4:30pm - Yoga to assist with low mood
A refund less 10% administrative fee, will be provided if you cancel more than two weeks before the workshop. If you cancel within two weeks of the workshop a refund less 10% administrative fee will be provided if your place can be filled from our waiting list. If your place cannot be filled from our waiting list no refund is available.
